Tecina Golf has received the IAGTO Outstanding Service Award 2021, being the only golf course in the Canary Islands to which this award has been granted. With this award, the work that the international golf tourism industry has faced in the last 2 years is recognized.
International golf tour operators have praised the work of hotels, golf courses and other golf destination providers for their flexibility in cancellations, rebookings and refunds, and for providing unparalleled service in the face of this unprecedented global crisis.
Efforts at golf courses and hotels to implement security protocols and, at the same time, make visitors feel as good as possible were also highlighted. In this case, Tecina Golf showed from the first moment its commitment to golf tourism, having a protocol of measures for the practice of golf safely against Covid 19 in its facilities. Tecina Golf was the first sports facility, and specifically the first golf course in Spain to open its doors after confinement.
